Case Officer (“the Game”) is operated by Aeolus Game Development LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

When you use the Game, we may collect:

  • Account information: email address, display name, and officer codename when you sign in via Google or Discord.
  • Profile information: avatar image URL provided by your OAuth provider.
  • Game data: game state, actions taken, career statistics, and tutorial progress.
  • Usage data: anonymous analytics events such as session starts and game completions.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Game
  • To manage your account and display your profile
  • To track career statistics and populate your public dossier
  • To improve the Game based on aggregate usage patterns

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your officer codename, display name, and career statistics are publicly visible on your dossier page. We may share data with service providers (Supabase for hosting and authentication, Vercel for deployment) as necessary to operate the Game.

5. Data Storage

Your data is stored on servers operated by Supabase (PostgreSQL). Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth using industry-standard OAuth 2.0 protocols. We use row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data.

6. Your Rights

You may:

  • Update your display name and codename in Settings
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your authentication session and remember your onboarding status. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

8. Children

The Game is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date above.
